Haitham al-Haddad – Protecting the Prophet Muhammad

Comments Off on Haitham al-Haddad – Protecting the Prophet Muhammad

This should get the Mo-haters foaming: Haddad wants to see a “social stigma” attached to any “blasphemous” or “vulgar speech” towards the Prophet Muhammad. I don’t feel the need to slag off Mo meself but it’d be interesting to know exactly what kind of things Haddad considers to be blasphemous.

UK Islamic Mission – The Syllabus

Comments Off on UK Islamic Mission – The Syllabus

Here are the ‘read and remembers’ for UKIMers: As you would expect from UKIM, it’s pretty much an ‘Islamic Movement’ setlist, featuring the big hitters of Jama’at-e-Islami: Syed Maududi, Amin Ahsan Islahi, Nayeem Siddiqui, Khurshid Ahmad and Khurram Murad, Muslim Brotherhood member Sayyid Qutb and Muslim Brotherhood spiritual leader Yusuf al-Qaradawi. Comments Off on UK Islamic Mission – Stepping outside of the ‘Islamic Movement’

UK Islamic Mission is probably the most well-known of all the ‘Islamic Movement’ organisations in Britain, it declares: “UKIM does not consider itself to be the Islamic Movement of Britain – rather it is part and parcel of the global Islamic Movement…” Last October, its President had this to say: “Dr Zahid Parvez highlighted the key […]
